Quality Control Engineer

About the Role

Gyros Gears Industries, a company specializing in gear manufacturing and precision engineering located in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, is seeking a meticulous Quality Control Engineer to verify the quality of both in-process and finished gear components. The candidate will be responsible for detailed mechanical inspections utilizing precision measuring tools and maintaining quality documentation. The role requires traveling within Gujarat and across India for client inspections as needed.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Inspect products during manufacturing and after completion to ensure adherence to quality standards and engineering specifications.
• Conduct dimensional measurements using tools such as Vernier Calipers, Micrometers, Height Gauges, Bore Gauges, Dial Indicators, and Depth Gauges.
• Check key parameters including dimensions, tolerances, surface finishes, and material requirements prior to dispatch.
• Document inspection outcomes by preparing and maintaining detailed quality reports and measurement records.
• Detect and report any defects or deviations to production and quality assurance teams for corrective actions.
• Manage proper use and regular calibration of measuring instruments to maintain accuracy.
• Collaborate closely with the production, design, and store departments to address any quality concerns.
• Perform site visits at client locations across Gujarat and India for inspections and verification tasks.
• Make informed decisions on component acceptance or rejection based on inspection results and company quality criteria.
• Participate in root cause analyses and help implement corrective and preventive measures for recurring quality issues.
• Adhere to quality procedures, follow safety regulations, and promote ongoing process improvements.

Candidate Requirements

• Age between 24 to 35 years.
• Male candidates preferred.
• Graduate-level education required.
• Basic proficiency in English communication.
• Minimum of one year experience in quality control or related mechanical inspection roles.

Essential Skills

• Expertise in quality assurance and quality analysis techniques.
• Proficient in operation of mechanical test and quality testing equipment.
• Experience with precision and electronic measuring instruments.
• Ability to handle inspection and test equipment correctly.
• Competence in quality control analytics and documentation.
• Basic skills with Microsoft Excel and Word for reporting.

Work Details and Location

This is a full-time day shift position based at the company’s manufacturing site at S 42, Behind Soneriya Block, Municipal Industrial Estate, Kailash Nagar, Bapunagar, Ahmedabad, Gujarat 380024.

Salary and Benefits

The compensation ranges from ₹20,000 to ₹26,000 per month and will be commensurate with skills and experience.
