Role Overview
The Quality Control Data Analyst will play a critical role in verifying the accuracy and integrity of audio and digital datasets. This remote, full-time position involves detailed examination, analysis, and evaluation of data to ensure it meets predetermined quality standards. Responsibilities include identifying discrepancies, meticulously documenting findings, and supporting quality enhancements. The analyst will receive specialized training to independently conduct quality assessments and risk evaluations within set timelines. Work must be done from a fixed approved location with flexible hours to accommodate weekends and holidays. Occasional travel, up to 5%, may be required. Collaboration with team members and commitment to maintaining quality and security standards is essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze and accurately label audio and other data files using designated QC tools and methodologies.
- Inspect and classify data according to established quality guidelines to assess accuracy and compliance.
- Detect and document inconsistencies, anomalies, or quality issues diligently.
- Effectively communicate quality observations to team leaders and escalate significant concerns to management.
- Keep detailed records of quality assessments for auditing and reviews.
- Participate in various quality control projects supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
- Work cooperatively with colleagues to meet project deadlines and operational targets.
- Identify recurring trends and opportunities to refine quality processes.
- Consistently apply prescribed rules and standards during data evaluation.
- Complete foundational QC certification training, enabling independent risk assessment post-certification.
- Perform additional duties as needed to support the quality assurance function.
Candidate Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a related discipline or equivalent professional experience.
- At least 3 years in roles such as Quality Assurance, data annotation, labeling, content moderation, transcription, compliance, or auditing.
- Strong proficiency with computers and digital software applications.
- Intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Exceptional attention to detail and dedication to accuracy.
- Excellent analytical thinking, problem-solving, and critical evaluation capabilities.
- Experience reviewing audio or speech data and managing large datasets or databases.
- Native or advanced English skills in speaking, reading, writing, and comprehension.
- Additional language skills are advantageous.
- Eligibility for U.S. government security clearance; U.S. citizenship required.
- Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to work independently in a remote setting.
