Quality Assurance Quality Control Engineer

About the Role

We are looking for a dedicated QA/QC Engineer with extensive experience in construction to guarantee that all operations align with project criteria, quality benchmarks, and relevant regulations. The candidate should possess practical site experience, meticulous documentation abilities, and coordinate effectively with project teams to uphold top-notch quality throughout the project duration.

Key Responsibilities

• Establish and uphold the Project Quality Management System (QMS).
• Perform thorough inspections of civil, architectural, and fit-out works ensuring adherence to project specifications and approved plans.
• Draft and assess Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), Method Statements, and quality procedures.
• Facilitate inspections alongside consultants, clients, and subcontractors.
• Issue, track, and close Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs), ensuring corrective and preventive measures are applied.
• Generate Material Inspection Requests (MIRs) and Work Inspection Requests (WIRs).
• Supervise on-site activities confirming compliance with project quality standards and codes.
• Evaluate material submissions, shop drawings, and technical documentation from a QA/QC standpoint.
• Maintain comprehensive quality documentation and compile weekly/monthly reports.
• Assist in internal and external quality audits and promote continuous quality improvement initiatives.

Candidate Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or a related discipline.
• At least 5 years of proven experience as a QA/QC Engineer in construction projects.
• Preferred experience includes building, commercial, healthcare, hospitality, or fit-out sectors.
• In-depth understanding of QA/QC protocols, global standards, and construction quality requirements.
• Strong skills in communication, coordination, and resolving issues.
• Capability to perform effectively within site environments.

Technical Proficiencies

• Proficient in AutoCAD.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office suite, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Experience working with document management systems such as Aconex.
• Knowledgeable in ISO 9001 Quality Management System standards.
• Familiar with Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs), Method Statements, NCRs, Work Inspection Requests (WIRs), and Material Inspection Requests (MIRs).
• Experience with Oracle Primavera Unifier or similar quality and document control software is advantageous.
• Skilled in reviewing construction drawings, specifications, and technical submittals.
