Quality Assurance Lead

About the Role

This position involves leading all Quality Assurance and Quality Control efforts for a protein production facility specializing in biotechnology. The role requires ensuring adherence to project-specific standards, quality protocols, relevant codes, and regulatory criteria. Key Responsibilities

• Oversee and administer QA/QC activities throughout engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and startup stages.
• Develop and uphold quality management systems including inspection and test plans, audit programs, and quality surveillance.
• Collaborate closely with project management, engineering teams, contractors, vendors, and client representatives to resolve quality issues and confirm closure of non-conformances.
• Champion quality standards needed for a food-grade manufacturing operation, focusing on traceability, documentation management, sanitation, and compliance with food, biotech, and regulatory manufacturing guidelines.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field with a minimum of 10 years experience in QA/QC roles on industrial capital projects.
• Hands-on experience with ATLS projects and preferably in food, pharmaceutical, biotechnology, fermentation, or other regulated manufacturing sectors.
• Proven record of working on projects within Saudi Arabia, with in-depth knowledge of international quality standards, quality management systems, and project-specific quality requisites.
• Experience supporting food, pharmaceutical, biotech, or GMP-regulated facility delivery, including quality supervision during construction, commissioning, qualification, and readiness phases.
