Opportunity Overview
We are seeking a skilled QA/QC Inspector specialized in electrical work to join our team remotely at a mining site in South Australia. The role follows a 2-week on, 1-week off roster, with 12-hour workdays. Reporting to the Construction Manager, you will oversee direct labor teams, ensuring tasks are completed on schedule, within budget, and to high quality standards, while liaising effectively with relevant stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Champion and enforce adherence to safe working practices in compliance with WHS & Environmental legislation.
- Support the preparation and management of Handover Work Packs, Inspection Test Plans (ITPs), and Final Test Reports (FTRs).
- Keep updated Electrical Worker and Equipment Calibration Registers.
- Generate Manufacturers Data Reports (MDRs) as required.
- Analyze and interpret technical drawings, plans, and circuitry diagrams for electrical installations.
- Ensure accuracy of red-line drawings through verification.
- Participate in client punch list inspections and follow up activities.
- Maintain communication and reporting with external clients.
- Promote and help implement Continuous Quality Improvement programs.
Candidate Profile
- At least 2 years of experience as a QA/QC Electrical & Instrumentation Inspector, Electrical Supervisor, Commissioning Supervisor, Electrical Control Engineer, or in a related role.
- A strong focus on safety compliance, customer satisfaction, and quality excellence.
- Meticulous attention to detail and precision.
- Ability to perform effectively under pressure to meet project deadlines.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting construction and commissioning schedules.
- Excellent communication capabilities, both written and verbal.
- Comfortable with computer technologies and willing to learn corporate software tools.
- Capable of assisting in timely and budget-friendly commissioning work delivery.
Essential Qualifications and Licenses
- Trade Certification or AQF Certificate Level 3 in Electrotechnology.
- Current Electrical Licence from South Australia, or eligibility for transfer.
- Valid White or Blue Construction Card.
- Current Driver’s Licence.
