About the Opportunity
A leading organization is seeking a skilled Project Manager to join their team, overseeing commercial construction projects across the Midwest. This role provides a chance to manage projects from the initial award phase through to completion while contributing to a reputable and expanding company.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee multiple commercial construction projects concurrently.
- Create and manage project schedules, ensuring timely coordination of activities.
- Track and control project budgets and financial metrics.
- Coordinate efforts with subcontractors and suppliers effectively.
- Review and validate project documentation and contractual agreements.
- Lead meetings involving owners and subcontractors to maintain alignment.
- Handle change orders, Requests for Information (RFIs), and submittal processes diligently.
- Ensure all work complies with established quality and safety standards.
- Provide regular project status updates to company leadership and clients.
- Support and complete tasks related to project closeouts.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of three years' experience in commercial construction.
- Proven track record managing projects from inception to completion.
- Excellent communication and leadership capabilities.
- Experience overseeing budgets and schedules.
- Ability to effectively manage and prioritize multiple tasks.
- Strong organizational skills for efficient project handling.
- Familiarity with construction management software is advantageous.
- Competence in Microsoft Office suite.
- A cooperative, team-focused work approach.
- Bachelor's degree is preferred.
Preferred Skills and Certifications
- Experience using Procore construction software platform.
- Background in ground-up construction projects.
- Exposure to industrial or commercial construction environments.
- Certification in OSHA safety standards is a plus.
