Role summary

The company is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead complex, high-value deliveries for clients in the ports and logistics sector. Projects will typically range from £50k to £4M+.

In this role, you will set direction from the start, create structure, maintain momentum, and ensure each project delivers meaningful business outcomes. The position calls for someone who is comfortable with complexity, confident in handling stakeholder relationships, and able to bring teams together around a shared goal.

Key responsibilities

• Take end-to-end ownership of several projects, ensuring they are delivered on schedule, within budget, and to a high standard.
• Choose and apply the most suitable delivery approach for each situation, rather than relying on process alone.
• Provide clear and timely communication to stakeholders on progress, risks, budgets, and decisions.
• Handle senior client stakeholders and political dynamics with tact, confidence, and credibility.
• Identify issues early, remove blockers, and keep programmes moving towards completion.
• Work closely with subject matter experts, developers, and commercial colleagues to deliver the best outcome for each project.
• Look for ways to improve delivery methods, share best practice, and strengthen project performance.

• A recognised project management qualification such as PRINCE2, PMP, or APM is preferred, along with experience applying it flexibly in real situations.
