Role Overview
As a Project Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in supporting technical energy audits and surveys while leading the execution of energy efficiency projects across industrial manufacturing sites. Your responsibilities include mechanical and electrical design of pioneering energy systems such as chillers, HVAC, heat pumps, and utility plant rooms. Collaboration with client facilities and internal teams will be essential to delivering cutting-edge design solutions aligned with climate action goals. You will also oversee project delivery standards by managing team performance to achieve budget, schedule, and energy-saving targets while cultivating strong client relationships in sectors including food, dairy, pharmaceutical, biopharma, and healthcare.
Required Qualifications and Competencies
- Minimum of three years' experience in electrical, mechanical, or civil engineering, preferably within industrial or large-scale manufacturing environments.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and a working knowledge of AutoCAD is beneficial.
- Sound understanding of building regulations, CIBSE/ASHRAE design standards, and health and safety legislation applicable to engineering projects.
- Possession of a third-level engineering degree in mechanical, electrical, civil, building services, or a closely related discipline.
- Excellent communication skills coupled with problem-solving capabilities and the ability to lead teams with a proactive, solution-oriented mindset.
