Project Coordinator - Rehab Homes

About The Role

Havenpark Communities is seeking a Project Coordinator to oversee their Rehab Homes portfolio, ensuring all projects progress smoothly. The coordinator will act as a key liaison among Community Managers, vendors, and internal teams, directly managing the daily operations of the Occupied Homes Rental Inspection Program and assisting with Vacant Rehab and Demo Rehab projects. This role suits someone who thrives on keeping projects on schedule and ensuring all participants understand their next steps.

Key Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain strong collaborative relationships with Community Managers, vendors, and internal departments including titling, revenue, vendor management, and inventory.
• Coordinate all phases of Rehab Portfolio projects from initiation and planning through execution, monitoring, and closure.
• Work closely with Community Managers to ensure project timelines are met.
• Identify potential risks or bottlenecks that may threaten deadlines or budgets and proactively address them.
• Contribute creatively to the planning stages of special projects, offering solutions before obstacles arise.

Process Improvement

• Recognize opportunities to enhance project coordination workflows and efficiencies.
• Recommend and develop improvements to documentation and review processes.
• Prepare user-friendly job aids to simplify daily operations for teams.
• Keep abreast of renovation costs and best practices across various markets.
• Assist Community Managers and vendors in navigating permitting requirements across different municipalities.

Qualifications and Experience

• Possess a degree in Construction Management, Project Management, or a related discipline, or a high school diploma accompanied by at least three years of experience in construction or renovation.
• Experience in managing construction, renovation, or capital improvement projects; experience with manufactured housing is advantageous.

Skills and Additional Requirements

• Skilled in project management software applications.
• Exceptional attention to detail coupled with strong organizational abilities.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well with others.
• Knowledge of renovation best practices.
• Proficient at an intermediate level in Microsoft Excel.
• Relevant construction or project coordination certifications are a bonus though not mandatory.
• Ability to pass a criminal background check, hold a valid driver’s license, and maintain a clean driving record.
