Tampa Bay Thrives (TBT) is a coalition established in 2019 dedicated to enhancing mental health outcomes within the Tampa Bay community. Its mission centers on mobilizing the community to improve behavioral health related to depression, anxiety, and substance use disorders through better early intervention, access, and awareness. TBT focuses on three key areas: Navigation (connecting individuals to resources), Access (expanding treatment options), and Stigma (reducing mental health stigma). The organization also engages in research, policy development, data evaluation, education, and convening efforts to address core mental health challenges regionally.

Role Overview

The Programs Manager supports the Senior Programs Director and CEO in the development, coordination, and execution of TBT’s diverse programming portfolio. This includes overseeing school-based wellness rooms, youth mental health initiatives, stigma-reduction campaigns, digital resilience tools, community social connection activities, and workplace mental health programs. This role primarily involves extensive project management responsibilities, coordinating multiple concurrent projects, managing vendors and contracts, and cultivating partnerships while translating strategic direction into actionable plans.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead project management of TBT’s full program portfolio, tracking timelines, milestones, budgets, and dependencies across multiple active projects including events, workshops, trainings, and capital improvements related to Wellness Room setups.
• Manage vendor performance and ensure timely, budget-compliant project completion.
• Collaborate with youth leaders in school and out-of-school settings to implement mental wellness programs.
• Facilitate communication among Wellness Room staff to standardize programming across schools and identify collaboration opportunities.
• Collect and analyze student survey data monthly to monitor program outcomes using established protocols.
• Partner with community leaders and mental health experts to develop programs enhancing behavioral health awareness and access.
• Lead committee meetings to explore and design solutions addressing community needs.
• Assist in strategic and annual planning, goal setting, budget development, and execution tracking.
• Perform research to identify best practices and emerging trends, providing insights to inform decision-making and program enhancement.
• Maintain relationships with public schools, community organizations, and consultants.
• Monitor and report on program effectiveness and recommend improvements using data.
• Create organizational dashboards to track progress and outcomes.
• Establish organizational processes supporting growth and efficiency.
• Manage volunteer engagement, training, and coordination to enhance program delivery.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Skills

• Experience in youth development, preferably within education, social services, or health sectors.
• Passion for supporting middle and high school youth in both educational and extracurricular contexts.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality, polished work products.
• Proficient data analysis and ability to measure and report program outcomes.
• Collaborative and transparent communication style with stakeholders and colleagues.
• Proven project management capability handling multiple projects, vendors, and stakeholders simultaneously.
• Forward-thinking with ability to anticipate needs and transform strategies into concrete actions.
• Comfortable navigating ambiguity and fast-paced environments by building necessary systems and structures.
• Experience working in lean or startup-like nonprofit environments, creating workflows independently.
• Skilled at building and maintaining stakeholder relationships.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite including Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Experience managing dashboards related to organizational or volunteer metrics.
• Interest in community outreach, public speaking, and communicating ideas effectively.
• Strong self-motivation, integrity, and ability to deliver results independently under pressure.
• Excellent listening and presentation skills for diverse audiences.

Educational and Licensing Requirements

An Associate's or Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution is preferred but not mandatory. Project Management certification or equivalent experience is advantageous. Candidates must possess a valid Florida Driver’s License and be prepared to travel regionally to meetings and events that may occur during evenings and weekends.

Work Schedule and Location

This is a full-time position with a hybrid work schedule requiring in-office presence in Tampa Bay’s Westshore office at least twice weekly (Mondays and Wednesdays) and remote work for the other three days. Flexibility to attend in-person meetings across the Tampa Bay area during the business week and occasional weekends is essential due to the nature of community engagement.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range is between $60,000 and $70,000 annually, based upon experience. Benefits include medical, dental, life insurance, disability coverage, a 401(k) plan with company match, paid holidays, and accrued paid time off based on tenure.
