Role Overview

The Product Development Coordinator position involves overseeing and supporting product development from initial concept through to product launch. This role also includes handling daily administrative tasks, ensuring all projects meet deadlines, and collaborating closely with multiple teams. The successful candidate will be highly organized, possess excellent communication abilities, thrive in fast-paced environments, and have a strong passion for cosmetics.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in managing all product development projects to adhere to schedule and meet key milestones.
• Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including Sourcing, Planning, Creative, and Brand Development, to drive projects to completion.
• Maintain the product library, lab submissions, retaining product documentation, and oversee the acquisition and monitoring of competitor products.
• Update and manage shared team documents, ensuring versions are current and communicated appropriately.
• Coordinate samples and packaging requirements for various initiatives and programs.
• Support review of formula submissions with management; consolidate team feedback and communicate direction to external vendors.
• Partner with Senior Manager, Product Development to relay project updates to vendors.
• Work alongside Brand Development teams to assist in launching new products.
• Contribute to brand-led projects and assist whenever applicable.
• Conduct research on fashion, beauty trends, competitor launches, and social media trends to inform business strategies; compile a monthly report for the Product Development team.
• Handle various administrative duties as required.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) is mandatory.
• Between 1 to 3 years of experience within the beauty industry.
• Demonstrated ability to multitask and pay close attention to detail.
• Skilled in prioritizing workload to meet deadlines effectively.
• Strong communication skills to clearly discuss formula aesthetics and attributes.
• Capability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Adaptability to changing project priorities with initiative to resolve issues and deliver results.
• Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
