Role Overview

We are seeking a Product Designer to join our Design System team in Melbourne. This position focuses on advancing and scaling the Netwealth Design System, which supports hundreds of users in creating efficient, high-quality digital products. The role sits at the crossroads of design, engineering, and product development, contributing to everything from reusable components and accessibility to consistency and future AI-enhanced processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Create and design reusable UI components and patterns in partnership with fellow designers.
• Work closely with engineering teams to align design outputs with implementation.
• Enhance the platform’s quality, uniformity, and accessibility standards.
• Assist feature groups in adopting and applying the design system effectively.
• Contribute to establishing guidelines, tools, and workflows that improve speed and efficiency across teams.
• Innovate design system approaches in an evolving AI-supported environment.

Candidate Profile

• Possesses between 2 to 5 years of experience in digital product design.
• Embraces systematic design thinking rather than isolated screen focus.
• Has prior exposure to working with design systems and component libraries.
• Demonstrates strong attention to detail, consistency, and design craftsmanship.
• Enjoys collaborating with both designers and developers.
• Strives to build deep expertise in scalable product design methodologies.
