About the role
AVADA Group is hiring a proactive Procurement Officer to centrally oversee and coordinate procurement activity across the group. This position reports to the Group Manager Fleet, Property and Procurement and is important in driving cost-effective outcomes, maintaining supplier governance, and ensuring procurement remains safe and compliant in line with the SAFE values: Skillful, Reliable, Helpful and Professional.
Key responsibilities
- Review procurement expenditure to uncover savings and other value-improvement opportunities.
- Oversee procurement for fleet, equipment, fuel, and corporate needs.
- Create, manage, and renew contracts, preferred supplier arrangements, and pricing schedules.
- Partner with HSEQ and Operations teams to source equipment that is safe, compliant, and suitable for purpose.
- Guide internal teams on procurement policies, systems, and compliance expectations.
- Support fleet planning and ensure spending remains within approved budgets.
- Keep procurement systems, supplier records, and spend reporting accurate and up to date.
- Prepare and maintain the Annual Procurement Plan.
- Lead sourcing activities such as RFQs, RFTs, and RFPs.
- Develop and sustain productive relationships with suppliers.
Qualifications and experience
Applicants should hold qualifications in Business, Finance, Procurement, Supply Chain, or a similar field. The role also calls for hands-on experience in procurement, sourcing, and contract management, ideally within fleet, logistics, construction, or other operational settings.
Skills and attributes
The ideal candidate will bring strong negotiation ability, solid analytical thinking, and confident stakeholder engagement skills. A commercial outlook, excellent attention to detail, and a collaborative, practical approach with a mindset for continuous improvement are also important.
