Role Overview
The Procurement Manager will oversee comprehensive sourcing and purchasing activities within designated categories. This position closely collaborates with internal departments to assess requirements, formulate sourcing strategies, and procure high-quality goods and services at competitive costs. The manager is responsible for driving the request for proposal (RFP) process, assessing vendor submissions, negotiating agreements, and ensuring contracts support the organization's goals while enhancing value, consistency, and operational effectiveness.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the complete procurement cycle, encompassing strategy development, RFP creation and management, vendor evaluation, contract negotiation, and execution.
- Establish and cultivate robust vendor relationships, while identifying alternative suppliers to optimize cost efficiency, quality, and service.
- Partner with internal teams to clarify work requirements, align procurement approaches with operational needs, and facilitate ongoing sourcing projects.
- Negotiate pricing, contractual terms, and service levels to secure optimal value aligned with budget and timeline constraints.
- Maintain accurate and compliant procurement documentation, contracts, and vendor records.
- Serve as the main liaison for vendor performance oversight and issue resolution, supporting project progress and coordination through completion.
Candidate Qualifications
- A bachelor's degree complemented by no less than five years of relevant experience in procurement or vendor contract management, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
- Demonstrated expertise managing all facets of procurement for specific goods and services, including sourcing, conducting RFPs, vendor negotiations, budgeting, contract formation, and implementation.
- Proven ability to collaborate with internal stakeholders to meet organizational needs while adhering to procurement processes and policies.
- Position based at AIR's Denver Corporate Office.

AIR Communities provides competitive compensation packages that acknowledge individual, team, and company milestones. Compensation includes:
- Salary range of $90,000 to $105,000 annually plus bonus potential, with actual pay commensurate with skills and experience related to the role.
