Company Overview
Westbach Unternehmerkapital is an entrepreneurial private equity firm collaborating with successful mid-sized business owners to implement market-leading industry concepts. Currently, the company is executing multiple European transactions within its ENTRO industry concept.
Role Overview
We are looking for a Private Equity Intern (m/f/d) to join our team from October 1st for a minimum duration of six months. This role involves supporting several acquisition projects and working alongside experienced professionals to develop industry concepts.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in evaluating and executing various investment opportunities related to the current European Buy & Build strategy.
- Contribute to the development of additional Buy & Build approaches within the German-speaking mid-market segment.
- Participate in conducting Commercial and Financial Due Diligence.
- Prepare business plans, company valuations, and integrated financial models.
- Engage in discussions with company owners and attend management meetings.
Candidate Profile
- At least in the 6th semester of a Bachelor's degree.
- Entrepreneurial mindset and proactive attitude across different industries.
- Willingness to commit with a good sense of humor.
- Organized and methodical approach to analytical market research.
- Preferably prior internship experience in Private Equity, Investment Banking/M&A, Transaction Services, Venture Capital/Start-Up, or Consulting.
- Proficient in MS Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
- Fluent in German and English.
Opportunity Offered
This position provides a comprehensive hands-on insight into all aspects of investment activities with an engaging and diverse set of tasks within an experienced yet young team. You will work as a full team member on multiple ongoing transactions and gain extensive private equity experience. A permanent role may follow upon completion.
