Role Overview
This position is with a partner company seeking a Principal of Strategic Operations based in Germany. Key Accountabilities
- Develop and refine leadership operating systems encompassing planning schedules, decision-making structures, and execution cadences.
- Manage quarterly and annual planning, ensuring alignment of priorities, dependencies, and resources across teams.
- Drive execution of critical cross-functional projects by enhancing accountability, coordination, and follow-through.
- Create scalable documentation, operating procedures, and tools to facilitate efficient team execution.
- Collaborate with executive stakeholders to identify and resolve organizational challenges, improving decision quality and operational effectiveness.
- Convert complex business issues into clear frameworks, actionable insights, and measurable outcomes.
- Integrate AI tools into daily operations to boost judgment, efficiency, and decision-making capabilities.
Candidate Profile and Requirements
- Minimum of 7 years' experience in roles related to Business Operations, Strategic Operations, Chief of Staff, Management Consulting, or comparable leadership positions in dynamic environments.
- Proven track record designing and scaling operating systems, planning workflows, or execution frameworks in expanding organizations.
- Experienced partnering with founders, executives, and senior leaders on enterprise-wide initiatives.
- Exceptional written communication skills with the aptitude to distill complex concepts into clear decisions and frameworks.
- Strong systems thinking and problem-solving skills focused on root cause identification and scalable solution design.
- Exemplary judgment, executive presence, and influence without direct authority.
- Ability to work autonomously in fast-paced, ambiguous settings while upholding high-quality standards.
- Demonstrated proficiency with AI tools, understanding their capabilities and limitations, and continuously enhancing their organizational application.
- Familiarity with company planning methods such as OKRs, annual planning, and quarterly business reviews is advantageous.
- Knowledge of modern productivity and collaboration platforms like Notion, Linear, Slack, analytic tools, and AI assistants is preferred.
