Portfolio Manager - Public Equities Analyst (Remote)

About the Role

They are currently seeking a Finance Expert specializing as a Public Equities Analyst / Portfolio Manager for a contract role that is fully remote.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and critically evaluate earnings models, valuation frameworks, investment memos, and catalyst tracking tools to support investment decisions.
• Conduct thorough analysis of regulatory filings such as 10-K, 10-Q, proxy statements, and 8-K reports, paying attention to footnotes and accounting disclosures.
• Assess revisions to estimates, identify significant business drivers, understand risks, and spot opportunities where market perceptions may differ.
• Detect unsupported assumptions, pinpoint errors in modeling, and reveal gaps in investment theses.
• Communicate findings clearly through well-structured and logical written explanations.
• Incorporate feedback and consistently align work product with high professional standards.

Qualifications

• Possess between 4 to 9 years of relevant experience for practitioner roles, or between 9 and 15 years for senior reviewing positions.
• Demonstrated professional background in fundamental equity research, asset management, hedge funds, or similar investment fields.
• Proficient in analyzing financial statements, forecasting, and valuation methodologies.
• Strong written communication skills with the capability to make assumptions and judgment calls explicitly clear.
• Exceptional attention to detail, intellectual integrity, and confidence in reviewing or defending analytical work.

Preferred Experience

• Expertise in sectors such as Technology, Media & Telecommunications (TMT) or semiconductors.
• Experience with event-driven investment strategies and intensive research involving SEC filings.

Additional Information

• This is a contract-based position offering compensation ranging from $208 to $270 per hour.
• The role is fully remote.
