Planning Manager - Data Center Projects

About the Role

URC Construction (P) Ltd is looking for a seasoned Planning Manager to oversee all aspects of planning, scheduling, monitoring, and controlling activities for extensive construction ventures, especially those involving Data Center projects, based in Vizag.

Key Responsibilities

• Create and update comprehensive project schedules with Primavera P6.
• Establish baseline schedules, devise resource allocation plans, and design recovery schedules if needed.
• Track project advancement, detect any delays, and suggest corrective measures.
• Collaborate effectively with Engineering, Procurement, Construction, and Client teams to ensure on-schedule project completion.
• Monitor project milestones, critical path activities, and measure productivity indicators.
• Generate Management Information System (MIS) reports, dashboards, and visual progress presentations for leadership review.
• Perform schedule risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies.
• Guarantee compliance with agreed project timelines, budgets, and contract terms.
• Lead planning review meetings and aid management with data-informed decision support.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a relevant discipline.
• Over 10 years of hands-on experience in Project Planning and Controls in the construction field.
• Strong command of Primavera P6 and advanced project scheduling techniques.
• Demonstrated ability handling large industrial, commercial, or infrastructure projects.
• Exceptional skills in analysis, leadership, communication, and managing diverse stakeholders.

Preferred Skills

• Prior involvement with Data Center construction projects is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with project control tools, cost tracking, and reporting mechanisms.
• Capacity to manage simultaneous projects within a dynamic environment.
