Job description
Role Overview
Join Boots UK's Central Support Pharmacy team in Nottingham as a Pharmacy Dispenser, playing a key role in fulfilling online prescriptions efficiently and safely. You will be involved in dispensing medications for patients ordering through the Online Doctor service, supporting pharmacy operations within the logistics function and contributing to the supply chain and online commitments.
Shift & Salary Details
This position offers various shifts between 7am and 6pm with an hourly pay rate of £13.92.
Core Responsibilities
- Handle patients’ prescription orders using Boots' proprietary online platform.
- Carry out all technical dispensing tasks ensuring safe medication supply, including ordering, labelling, endorsing, and preparing medicines for dispatch.
- Adhere strictly to all legal, professional, and Boots-specific guidelines regarding dispensary practices.
- Operate the dispensary with efficiency while minimizing any dispensing losses.
- Perform additional duties as directed by Pharmacists and the Assistant Operations Manager aligned with the Dispenser role.
- Conduct routine activities such as stock replenishment, expiry date checking, exception counts, and maintain a clean work environment under the 'clean as you go' policy.
Qualifications & Skills Required
- Must have completed the UK dispenser qualification equivalent to NVQ level 2.
- Demonstrated ability to dispense prescriptions accurately and confidently.
- Valid UK employment authorization; sponsorship for skilled worker visa is not offered for this role.
- Ability to thrive and maintain composure in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
