Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Payroll Operator to join a dynamic and expanding company based in Glasgow. This newly established position offers a fantastic chance to take full responsibility for a varied payroll function during an exciting phase of growth and transformation.
Key Duties
- Accurately processing complete payroll cycles ensuring timely delivery
- Handling employee lifecycle events such as new hires, terminations, leave, absences, and payroll adjustments
- Managing deductions and payroll changes effectively
- Maintaining precise payroll and staff records
- Identifying and resolving any payroll discrepancies
- Serving as the primary contact for payroll-related questions from employees and management
- Collaborating with HR on matters beyond payroll scope
- Contributing to the enhancement and streamlining of the payroll function
- Operating across multiple payroll systems and organizational entities for diverse exposure
About You
- Possess around 2–3 years of payroll experience with a focus on end-to-end processing
- Strong background in payroll administration and management
- Skilled at resolving employee queries and payroll inconsistencies with confidence
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
- Highly organized with the ability to meet deadlines consistently
- Capable of working independently and taking initiative on responsibilities
- Personable, approachable, and comfortable in a collaborative team environment
Additional Information
Experience with Sage 50 payroll software is advantageous but not mandatory. The salary is up to 32,000 full-time equivalent. This is a part-time, onsite role in Glasgow.
