Part Time/Full Time Groom

Position Overview

Ingliston Estate & Country Club is seeking a dedicated Groom to join our passionate Stables Team, with opportunities for part-time or full-time work at our Bishopton location. Our team, affectionately called the ‘Dream Team,’ cares for a variety of horses across three types of livery: Assisted livery, Upper DIY, and full DIY, totaling 69 horses stabled on site.

Key Responsibilities

• Cleaning out stables and replenishing bedding materials
• Daily grooming and clipping of horses
• Preparing and providing feed to horses as scheduled
• Managing turnout and bringing horses back in
• Changing horse rugs appropriately
• Monitoring the health status of horses and administering basic treatment for minor injuries
• Performing general yard maintenance including sweeping and fence inspections
• Conducting tours of the stables for visitors

Candidate Requirements

• Preparedness to work outdoors in all weather conditions
• Solid general knowledge and hands-on experience with horse care and stable maintenance
• Awareness of horse illnesses and basic equine first aid capabilities
• Strong customer service skills to interact professionally with livery clients and the general public
• Flexibility to meet the varying needs of the horses
