Part-Time IT Support Specialist

Position Overview

This part-time role involves collaborating with an IT Manager to provide remote and occasional on-site technical support for clients located in the Chicago and Bedford Park, Illinois areas. The role suits experienced IT support specialists or help desk technicians seeking flexible contractor opportunities with variable hours and potential for increased workload.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver end-user assistance across hardware, software, networking, and peripheral devices.
• Diagnose and resolve issues related to computers, printers, network connections, and standard business software.
• Support management and administration of Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace accounts.
• Manage software updates, device installations, asset tracking, and coordinate with vendors as needed.
• Provide on-site technical support and contribute to IT projects as required.

Candidate Requirements

• Minimum of two years’ experience in IT support, help desk, or desktop support roles.
• Dependability and responsiveness during agreed working hours.
• Prior experience supporting small to midsize enterprises is advantageous.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical matters to non-technical users.
• Residence in the Chicago metropolitan area with capability to travel for occasional on-site assignments.
