About the Role
As a Pae Tukutuku, you will deliver outstanding service to users of the Māori Land Court and your colleagues by providing precise and timely information to assist with the progression of applications and cases. You will use your interpersonal skills to educate and advise whānau, empowering them to navigate the Māori Land Court processes and effectively manage their whenua (land). Your team will regard you as a dependable member known for sound judgment and meticulous attention to detail.
Key Duties
- Managing information and educating stakeholders based on a robust understanding of relevant legislation and Court procedures
- Handling records through the Pātaka Whenua digital system
- Engaging and consulting with parties, legal counsel, and the judiciary to clarify case details and develop case progression strategies
- Providing courtroom clerking and judicial support services
- Recording and transcribing Court hearings with accuracy and timeliness
- Maintaining and safeguarding the Court's official records

- NCEA Level 3 or equivalent practical experience
- Willingness to occasionally travel as part of the role
Experience working with digital workflow systems is advantageous. Competency in Te Reo Māori and possession of a New Zealand driver's license are also valued.

Additional Information
The salary range for this role is between $60,729 and $80,794 annually, determined by skills and experience.
