Key Responsibilities
- Lead and support packaging initiatives linked to new product launches, cost efficiency efforts, quality enhancements, and process improvements.
- Manage projects to completion within deadlines and quality standards through effective planning and execution.
- Design cost-effective packaging solutions considering material, operational, and logistical expenses while meeting project specifications.
- Ensure compliance of packaging designs with the Australian Packaging Covenant and New Zealand Packaging Stewardship Scheme regulations.
- Create and maintain packaging specifications and related documentation accurately.
- Collaborate closely with packaging suppliers to remain informed on market trends, innovations, and ensure optimal packaging performance and cost-effectiveness.
- Provide technical assistance to other business units regarding packaging issues.
- Maintain detailed and current packaging technical records.
- Support Kraft Heinz’s positioning as an industry leader in innovative packaging solutions that maximize profitability.
Candidate Requirements
- Minimum three years’ experience in packaging or technical roles within FMCG environments.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively to solve problems and enhance systems.
- Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Analytical mindset with excellent problem-solving capabilities.
- Proficient in project management, planning, and organizational tasks.
- Technical expertise in packaging materials, including cans, bottles, glass, and pouches, along with associated manufacturing processes.
- Possess a degree in Science, Technology, or Engineering.
- Formal qualification in Packaging Technology is essential.
