Operations Data Entry Agent

Position Overview

The Operations Data Entry Agent plays a crucial role in ensuring shipment data accuracy, completeness, and integrity throughout the export shipment cycle. This role supports Gateway and Export Operations by completing timely data entries for outbound shipments, enabling flight departure, customs clearance at destinations, and maintaining high-quality shipment data in support of export workflows.

Primary Responsibilities

• Enter all outbound shipment data on the same day prior to flight departure.
• Verify details including shipper and consignee information, addresses, contact numbers, postal codes, commodity descriptions, declared values, billing data, weights, and dimensions.
• Rectify shipment data errors or escalate unresolved issues appropriately.
• Assist in export operations such as bagging, container loading, direct shipments via JAMPOST, shipment reconciliation, and documentation preparation.
• Review customs paperwork for accuracy and regulatory adherence.
• Produce operational reports and contribute to continuous improvement efforts.
• Maintain both electronic and physical records of shipments.
• Support operational recovery during disruptions or high workload periods.
• Collaborate effectively with Operations, Brokerage, Gateway, Customer Service, and Commercial teams.
• Carry out additional operational tasks assigned by management.

Qualifications and Experience

• Minimum of five CSEC subjects, including English Language and Mathematics.
• A diploma or associate degree in Business, Logistics, or Supply Chain is advantageous.
• Preferred two years of experience in logistics, courier services, freight forwarding, or data entry roles.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, and familiarity with shipment systems.
• Excellent typing precision, analytical skills, and strong attention to detail.

Working Environment

This position requires shift work that may include weekends and public holidays as necessitated by operational demands. The role operates within a fast-paced logistics environment that demands adherence to strict export deadlines and operational cut-offs.
