Position Overview
Think Academy US is currently seeking a full-time remote Elementary Math Teacher for Grades 3-5, specializing in teaching math up to Pre-Algebra. This opportunity begins onboarding in August 2026, with teaching commencing in September 2026. Candidates must commit to a minimum one-year term, concluding in May 2027.

Key Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging, student-focused math instruction using Think Academy’s curriculum and lesson plans.
- Conduct virtual classes averaging 18 students, fostering a positive and high-expectation learning environment.
- Evaluate homework, provide timely feedback, and maintain professional communication with students and their parents regarding progress and learning plans.
- Participate actively in training, lesson preparation, and ongoing professional growth activities.
Schedule & Commitment
- Initial onboarding involves a 5-day paid, on-site training session in San Jose, CA, including accommodations, meals, and a travel stipend.
- Weekly workload includes approximately 3–6 classes (6–12 teaching hours) plus administrative tasks—totaling 30–40 hours per week.
- Class schedules are consistent week-to-week (excluding federal holidays) during Pacific Time zones on Wednesdays through Fridays from 4 pm to 8 pm and Saturdays and Sundays from 9 am to 8 pm.
- Ability to commit to the full duration from onboarding through May 2027 is required.
Compensation & Benefits
- Teaching hours compensated at $35–45 per hour.
- Non-teaching/admin hours (grading, prep, parent interactions) paid at $16–20 per hour.
- Potential for performance-based raises up to three times annually and various bonus opportunities.
- Qualified teachers may transition into year-round teaching roles for steadier income.

Candidate Profile
- Bachelor’s degree mandatory.
- Solid foundational knowledge in math through Pre-Algebra or higher levels.
- Enthusiastic about teaching and fostering student development, with effective communication skills.
- Availability within the specified time windows of class delivery.
- Previous tutoring, mentoring, coaching, or classroom teaching experience is advantageous.
- Participation or background in math competitions (e.g., AMC, Math Kangaroo) is a plus but not required.
