Oil Spill Response Supervisor

Job Overview

Oversee daily operations at an assigned oil spill response base. Analyze hazards and risks linked to possible incidents within the jurisdiction. Lead emergency response teams while coordinating efforts with local authorities, contractors, international bodies, and volunteers during major events.

Key Duties

• Manage and supervise daily response base functions.
• Identify and evaluate risks and hazards associated with potential spill incidents.
• Command emergency teams and collaborate with various stakeholders including local authorities and international organizations.
• Organize and conduct annual training programs and exercises for staff and contractors to uphold preparedness standards.
• Provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to response base personnel regarding oil pollution control methods.
• Serve as a technical consultant for QatarEnergy, joint ventures, state institutions, and other interested parties.

Experience and Education

• Minimum of ten years' experience handling oil pollution response in both offshore and onshore environments.
• Possess a Bachelor of Science or Higher National Diploma in mechanical, environmental, or marine-related fields.
