Role Overview

We are seeking a DevOps Officer responsible for supporting the implementation and upkeep of version control systems, configuration management solutions, and a variety of DevOps technologies. The role involves defining development, testing, release, and support procedures aligned with DevOps practices, diagnosing production issues, and collaborating closely with development teams to ensure adherence to established processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Support implementation and maintenance of version control, configuration management, and other DevOps tools.
• Help establish and enforce procedures for development, testing, releases, updates, and ongoing support.
• Analyze root causes of production errors and recommend effective solutions.
• Collaborate with software developers to maintain compliance with process standards and functional software delivery.
• Monitor and manage infrastructure to ensure performance, security, and scalability benchmarks are met.
• Ensure adherence to industry best practices and company policies.
• Work with development and operations teams to automate and enhance CI/CD pipelines.
• Deploy and monitor containerization frameworks like Docker and orchestration tools such as Kubernetes.
• Participate in system testing activities and propose necessary enhancements or fixes.
• Assist in delivering quality demand analysis to aid senior management decision-making.
• Perform additional tasks as assigned by supervisors or management.

Candidate Requirements

• Possession of a Bachelor’s, Professional, or Master’s degree or equivalent qualification.
• Minimum of 2 years experience in a management-related role.
• Understanding of fundamental DevOps concepts and Agile methodologies.
• Prior experience working as a DevOps engineer or in a related software engineering capacity.
• Proficient with Git version control and GitHub workflow processes.
• Knowledge of DevOps tools including ArgoCD, Docker, Kubernetes, and Ansible.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS (preferred), Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Familiar with various open-source tools, technologies, and cloud services.
• Highly self-motivated with strong interpersonal communication abilities.
• Good command of English and computer literacy.
• Demonstrates flexibility, a willingness to learn, ability to work under pressure, honesty, diligence, and teamwork skills.
