  • Perform active market analysis and ensure sourcing and compliance decisions adhere to the German Market Surveillance Act (Marktüberwachungsgesetz).
  • Manage and utilize obsolescence management databases (OM-DBs) to forecast risks and guide lifecycle planning effectively.

  • Ability to assess and address software obsolescence within complex systems.
  • Knowledge and application of the German Market Surveillance Act to maintain compliance in sourcing and product monitoring.
  • Strong coordination skills with engineering, procurement, and maintenance units to preserve long-term system viability.
  • Capacity to translate lifecycle risks into actionable prevention and mitigation plans to ensure platform sustainability.
  • Fluency in both English and German (minimum C1 level) to effectively navigate international collaboration and local regulatory environments.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience within the defence or aerospace industry regarding obsolescence management practices.
  • Familiarity with component lifecycle forecasting and managing end-of-life scenarios.

  • Competitive salary with the option of VSOP (Virtual Stock Option Plan).
  • Relocation support up to €2,500 plus four weeks of temporary accommodation for new hires.
  • Annual learning budget of €500/£450 to support professional development.
  • Health and wellness perks including gym memberships and mental health services through Nilo.health.
  • Frequent company social events alongside monthly social allowances.
  • Generous parental leave policies: 22 weeks fully paid for primary caregivers and 6 weeks for secondary caregivers.
  • Family support provisions including five paid days for family emergencies, options for 100% remote work during pregnancy, and a phased return-to-work program.
