Job description
Position Overview
We are seeking a dependable Pallet Repairer to join a manufacturing operation committed to safety, working permanent night shifts. This role suits individuals with a background in production, manufacturing, warehousing, or factory work who prefer practical tasks and are skilled with hand and power tools.
Key Responsibilities
- Inspect pallets visually to detect damaged or loose battens.
- Use hydraulic lifting equipment to safely remove damaged timber sections.
- Fix replacement battens securely using pneumatic nail guns.
- Operate hydraulic devices to turn pallets for thorough inspections.
- Meet production goals while adhering to safety protocols.
The position incorporates automation and mechanical aids to minimize manual handling, but requires standing for long periods, bending, pushing pallets, and undertaking repetitive motions during shifts.
Candidate Profile
- Experience in manufacturing, production, warehouses, or factory environments.
- Strong dedication and motivation to perform repetitive tasks consistently.
- Committed to maintaining workplace safety and quality standards.
- Familiarity with hand and power tool usage is advantageous, especially with angle grinders and pneumatic nail guns.
Compensation and Schedule
- Night shift remuneration of $46.38 per hour combining base pay with shift and casual loadings.
- Stable work roster from Sunday through Thursday nights.
