About the Role

Your role is crucial in growing the referral network and increasing BMO's share in the home financing market.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and nurture relationships within referral networks to generate new mortgage business and expand market presence.
- Identify sales prospects proactively and refer clients to appropriate BMO teams as needed.
- Implement and support targeted marketing campaigns and promotional initiatives.
- Seek and leverage cross-selling and up-selling opportunities in collaboration with branch teams to meet sales and profitability targets.
- Enhance BMO's community presence through participation in trade shows, conferences, and events.
- Act as a customer advocate throughout the mortgage application, processing, and funding stages, ensuring a smooth experience.
- Provide superior customer service by responding skillfully to inquiries and guiding clients through mortgage processes.
- Collaborate closely with branch personnel to finalize mortgage documentation and refer non-mortgage needs appropriately.
- Stay updated on consumer needs, industry trends, best practices, and comply with relevant regulatory requirements and internal policies.
- Conduct data analysis and generate reports to provide insights and support operational planning.
- Exercise sound judgment and apply the Bank's Risk Management Framework to ensure compliance and protection of assets.
Qualifications and Skills
- Typically, candidates have 3 to 5 years of relevant experience accompanied by a post-secondary degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Comprehensive understanding of the mortgage lending process and regulatory environment.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
- Expertise in self-management, teamwork, relationship sales, personal lending, and management.
- Functional knowledge encompassing personal banking, investments, trust services, and various lending areas including commercial lending.
- Strong familiarity with the real estate sector and mortgage market dynamics.
- Advanced analytical, problem-solving, and influencing abilities.
Compensation and Benefits
This position includes a commission-based pay structure, with expected target earnings for the first year varying by location, skills, experience, and education. Compensation packages may also feature performance incentives, discretionary bonuses, and additional rewards.
