Role Overview

The Media Planning Specialist plays a key role in the creation and implementation of digital media campaigns targeting healthcare audiences across the United States. Collaborating with senior planners, media operations, analytics, and diverse teams, this position translates data into actionable strategies, supports campaign lifecycle activities, and builds expertise in digital media methods.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in creating and managing digital media plans spanning paid search, display, video, social media, email, and mobile platforms by utilizing audience and platform data.
  • Oversee budget allocation by channel, track spending pace, and collaborate with Analytics and Media Operations for campaign optimization aligned with KPIs.
  • Handle the execution and adjustment of live campaigns via media platforms and operational tools ensuring high levels of accuracy, compliance, and effectiveness.
  • Generate comprehensive performance reports and insights to assess campaign success and provide data-driven recommendations.
  • Work collaboratively with teams such as Media Operations, Finance, Project Management, SEM, Biddable, Analytics, and Client Services to deliver cohesive campaign execution.

Required Qualifications

  • At least 2 to 3 years of practical experience in digital media planning or campaign execution, including setup, optimization, and performance reporting.
  • Proven experience managing paid digital campaigns across multiple channels like search, display, video, or social platforms with clear performance metrics.
  • Strong skills in analyzing campaign data to produce actionable optimization strategies.
  • Familiarity with media and operational tools such as DCM, Datorama, Genome, Excel, and PowerPoint or similar software.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and external media vendors to implement campaigns successfully.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Comfort and eagerness to incorporate artificial intelligence tools regularly into workflows.
  • Exposure to US healthcare or pharmaceutical advertising in an agency setting.
  • Experience with financial aspects of campaign management including budget pacing and reconciliation.
  • Background in mentoring or supporting junior colleagues or coordinators.
  • Interest in participating in business development efforts or process enhancement initiatives.

Compensation and Additional Information

The salary for this position ranges between $60,000 and $68,000 annually, contingent upon factors like candidate location, skills, education, and prior experience.
