Job Synopsis

We are looking to hire an experienced Machinist to join our workshop team. The role involves conducting diverse machining operations using modern machine tools to manufacture and repair parts based on engineering blueprints and tight tolerances. Candidates with prior experience in industrial workshops, especially in Oil & Gas or Petrochemical industries, are preferred.

Primary Responsibilities

• Execute various machining tasks including turning, milling, drilling, shaping, and other related operations in the workshop.
• Prepare and operate different modern machine tools safely and efficiently.
• Analyze and interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications, and blueprints precisely.
• Produce and repair components ensuring adherence to exact dimensions and fine tolerances.
• Conduct inspections on finished parts to verify compliance with quality standards and specifications.
• Maintain workshop machinery and uphold cleanliness and organized workspaces.
• Adhere strictly to the company's health, safety, and environmental (HSE) policies during workshop and site activities.
• Assist with maintenance and repair duties as needed.

Qualifications and Experience

• Possession of a Technical Secondary School Certificate or an Ordinary National Diploma (OND) in Mechanical Engineering.
• A minimum of 6 years' hands-on experience in machining operations, including using modern milling, drilling, and shaping machinery.
• At least 5 years of relevant experience within Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, or comparable industrial environments.
• Proficient in reading and comprehending engineering drawings and working to precise tolerances.
• Sound knowledge of machining methods, workshop practices, and safety regulations.
