Job Overview

Ichor Systems, Inc. is seeking a motivated Material Handler to join the logistics team in Singapore. This full-time role involves efficiently managing the receipt, storage, shipping, and distribution of materials, parts, and equipment, combining physical activity with administrative responsibility to maintain smooth operational flow.

Key Responsibilities

• Unload incoming materials from delivery vehicles, verifying quantities and inspecting for any damage or discrepancies, documenting issues accordingly.
• Record and assign appropriate storage locations for materials in alignment with receiving documentation, ensuring items are stored correctly for easy access.
• Retrieve materials according to orders and promptly transport them to production or shipping areas, ensuring accuracy in order selection.
• Maintain comprehensive and precise documentation regarding material receipt, storage, movement, and distribution to uphold inventory accuracy.
• Prepare and package materials for shipment following guidelines to protect goods during transit; ensure proper labeling and shipment documentation are attached.
• Perform regular cycle counts to confirm inventory reliability, collaborating with inventory control to resolve any discrepancies found.
• Utilize computer systems to track and locate inventory items, updating the system to reflect current stock status.
• Operate under supervision, following established protocols to maintain consistency and precision in material handling tasks.

Environmental Health & Safety (EH&S)

• Engage actively in company EH&S programs and activities.
• Report all incidents such as injuries, illnesses, near misses, spills, and hazardous conditions to supervisors promptly.
• Conduct risk assessments related to work tasks and implement corrective and preventive measures as necessary.
• Adhere strictly to all EH&S policies, rules, programs, and utilize personal protective equipment appropriately.
• Participate in audits and safety inspections when called upon.
• Attend safety training programs and take personal responsibility for maintaining workplace safety.

Continuous Improvement

• Contribute to company initiatives aimed at reducing waste, cutting costs, minimizing errors, and enhancing productivity.

Candidate Requirements

• Education level at least GCE "N" or "O" levels or an equivalent qualification.
• One to two years of experience in material handling or a related area with a good grasp of inventory management and material flow.
• Knowledge of basic packing and shipping procedures to ensure safe transport of goods.
• Understanding and compliance with company safety regulations.
• Ability to apply suitable tools and techniques for effective and safe material handling.
• Strong numerical abilities for tasks including counting, measuring, and verification of quantities.
• Familiarity with Oracle and Agile software systems is beneficial for managing inventory digitally.
• Physical capability to lift and carry weights up to 20 kilograms as required by job duties.
