Marine Engineering Intern

Role Overview

The position of Graduate Marine Engineer entails supporting the operation, maintenance, and optimal functioning of marine machinery and onboard engineering systems. This role operates under the guidance of senior engineers, contributing to preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, inspections, and adherence to maritime safety and regulatory standards.

Key Duties

• Assist with the operation and upkeep of marine engines, generators, pumps, and auxiliary equipment.
• Support scheduled maintenance activities, both preventive and corrective.
• Monitor equipment performance and promptly report any irregularities or failures.
• Engage in diagnosing and resolving mechanical and engineering problems.
• Maintain detailed and accurate records of maintenance, inspections, and technical documentation.
• Adhere to health, safety, environmental, and maritime regulations consistently.
• Work collaboratively with engineering and operational teams to enhance equipment reliability and efficiency.
• Contribute to inspections, equipment testing, and commissioning when necessary.
• Pursue continuous technical skill development through training and practical experience.
