Manufacturing Engineer

About the Role

We are searching for a highly driven Manufacturing Engineer to support advanced laser drilling applications. This position plays a key role in facilitating New Product Introduction (NPI) transfers, refining manufacturing processes, and providing ongoing production support to ensure superior quality and punctual customer deliveries.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead efforts to prepare manufacturing operations for the introduction of new products.
• Work closely with design and R&D departments to guarantee a smooth transition into production phases.
• Establish and authenticate reliable manufacturing processes specific to laser drilling projects.
• Create and maintain precise work instructions tailored for production staff.
• Design and deploy jigs, fixtures, and tooling aimed at increasing manufacturing efficiency and consistency.
• Evaluate existing workflows and apply lean manufacturing methods to decrease cycle times and production costs.
• Spearhead continuous improvement programs across production lines.
• Offer technical support to production technicians to swiftly resolve operational challenges.
• Diagnose and implement effective corrective measures to reduce downtime.
• Monitor production timelines to consistently achieve customer delivery schedules.
• Assist in qualifying OEM End-of-Life parts, ensuring full compliance with customer specifications.
• Create qualification strategies, conduct testing procedures, and document findings.
• Collaborate with supply chain and quality assurance teams to effectively manage part transitions.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, or a closely related area.
• Minimum of three years’ experience in manufacturing engineering, with a preference for laser machining or other precision manufacturing processes.
• Proven expertise in designing jigs and fixtures, validating processes, and applying lean manufacturing principles.
• Experience providing hands-on production support and resolving technical issues.
• Strong analytical, communication, and teamwork abilities to work cross-functionally.

Desired Skills

• Background in laser drilling or micro-machining technologies.
• Knowledge of NPI transfer procedures within high-technology manufacturing settings.
• Understanding of OEM part qualification and management throughout the product lifecycle.
• Proficiency in CAD tools and statistical process control (SPC) techniques.
