Overview
We seek a Managing Director to lead the Key Biscayne Private Member Club as its senior operational executive. This role encompasses full oversight from pre-opening activities through launch to ensuring sustained success of one of South Florida's premier private clubs. The Club offers exclusive amenities including multiple dining venues, beach and pool facilities, racquet sports, wellness and fitness programs, family-centric experiences, private events, and an elite membership community.
Key Responsibilities
- Direct all pre-opening operations, encompassing planning, hiring, training, and the property launch.
- Provide strategic leadership to guarantee operational excellence and superior member satisfaction.
- Manage all member services: food and beverage, beach and pool, wellness, fitness, racquet sports, concierge, children’s programs, retail, and events.
- Recruit, mentor, and motivate a leadership team, instilling a culture of accountability, teamwork, and outstanding service.
- Strategize and manage financial outcomes by budget control, cost management, and revenue growth across departments.
- Foster strong connections with members, owners, resort executives, and key partners, acting as the Club's main liaison.
- Develop innovative programs to elevate member engagement, satisfaction, and retention with exceptional services and exclusive offerings.
- Set and uphold luxury service standards and operational best practices throughout the Club.
- Collaborate closely with the Executive Chef and departmental heads to deliver exemplary dining across multiple culinary outlets.
- Seek strategic partnerships with luxury brands, cultural entities, and community groups to enhance the Club's market position.
- Ensure adherence to legal, health, safety, and operational regulations while upholding top-tier risk management.
- Track business performance through operational and financial metrics, leveraging data and member insights for continuous refinement and decision-making.
Qualifications
- At least ten years of ascending leadership roles within luxury hospitality, private clubs, resorts, or similar lifestyle luxury settings.
- Experience as General Manager, Club Manager, Managing Director, or comparable executive role with total profit and loss responsibility spanning multiple divisions.
- Proven track record managing pre-opening phases at luxury hospitality or private club venues in senior roles.
- Expertise in directing complex multi-outlet food and beverage operations with four or more distinct concepts.
- Demonstrated capacity to build, lead, and grow large teams of 100+ staff in sophisticated luxury service environments.
- Strong financial and business acumen including comprehensive budget management, P&L oversight, and capital expenditure governance.
- Ability to cultivate trusted and lasting relationships with ultra-high-net-worth individuals, ownership bodies, and community stakeholders.
- Excellent communication skills, leadership ability, and executive presence, comfortable engaging with both ownership and frontline team members.
