Manager Treasury

About the Role

As Treasury Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing, managing, and enhancing the treasury systems, processes, and infrastructure to ensure compliance, efficient transaction processing, accurate data capture, and comprehensive reporting. This involves collaborating with treasury, finance, IT, and other business departments to implement new technologies and methods. You will also provide strong communication, development, and support leadership to ensure smooth adoption of innovations within the team.

Key Responsibilities

• Participate in strategic planning working with senior managers to promote sustainable profitability.
• Coordinate risk assessments within the team and embed mitigation measures in functional tasks.
• Contribute to strategic planning and budgeting processes in partnership with treasury managers.
• Continuously improve processes using best practices to advance transformation goals.
• Evaluate financial risks, propose mitigation tactics, and maintain adherence to risk management policies.
• Implement risk management approaches to minimize the impact of financial risks.
• Document and communicate processes in compliance with risk and accounting policies, and provide market analysis for senior management.
• Analyze fleet plans, asset valuations, and lease and financing portfolios and provide associated reporting.
• Support leadership in securing cost-effective financing for fleet and managing credit activities ensuring sufficient liquidity.
• Oversee financing transactions, including structuring, negotiation, documentation, closing, and post-closing management by coordinating internal and external stakeholders.
• Manage audit controls, accounting processes, and month/year-end closing requirements.
• Track and report progress and benefits of assigned projects against targets.
• Lead process design meetings to capture business and technical requirements, identify key challenges, and prioritize initiatives.
• Create future business improvement roadmaps and plans addressing process gaps.
• Review existing systems, workflows, and controls, recommending improvements for faster processing and enhanced data accessibility.
• Generate ad hoc reports as needed by internal stakeholders.
• Ensure frameworks for system administration and data integrity across treasury systems are in place.
• Assist management in optimizing banking structures, infrastructure, supporting processes, and controls for efficient operations.
• Develop and maintain stakeholder relationships, holding parties accountable to service standards, and uphold policies related to bank mandates and online banking access.
• Maintain bank mandates with a clear framework to train and support authorized users for manual and online access consistently.
• Coordinate the provision of banking services to support business activities efficiently.
• Ensure user access and training for all online banking portals.
• Maintain audit trail controls for all treasury transactions.
• Perform other duties as assigned by departmental leadership.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent qualification with a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience.
• Graduate-level education, qualified accountant, and/or AMCT/MCT/CFA or equivalent certification highly desirable.
• Experience managing teams to meet business objectives in corporate treasury or related finance fields.
• Demonstrated expertise in financial risk management strategy, communication, financing sourcing, execution, and related process integration.
• Practical knowledge of treasury operations including banking relations, payments, liquidity management, and cash flow forecasting.
• Handling diverse treasury products and strategies involving systems, banking, risk management including hedging, financing, and payment processes.
• Proven track record in business process improvements and driving change management initiatives for enhanced efficiency and effectiveness.
