Overview
ZB Financial Holdings is looking for a qualified Manager of Banking Systems to lead operations, upkeep, and enhancement of the core banking platform and its related applications. This role ensures technology services align with One ZB's strategic business goals, operational reliability, and deliver superior service standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement the core banking systems strategy aligned with ONE ZB and its business units' objectives.
- Manage daily operations, maintenance, system performance, and ensure availability of the core banking system alongside peripheral applications.
- Drive the creation and execution of operational procedures, process controls, and support tools to maintain system integrity.
- Lead testing, rollout, and oversight of system patches, upgrades, and improvements.
- Enhance operational efficiency by reengineering, developing, and automating intricate banking workflows and manual processes using suitable automation tools and AI solutions.
- Resolve system queries through fault analysis, root-cause investigation, and deployment of both immediate and long-term fixes.
- Oversee vendor partnerships, addressing higher-level escalations and ensuring performance meets service standards.
- Establish, monitor, and enforce service level agreements with vendors and third-party providers.
- Administer backup operations, protocols, and control measures to safeguard core systems.
- Coordinate disaster recovery and business continuity plans related to banking applications.
- Lead and mentor operations and maintenance staff to achieve high accountability and performance.
- Manage the operations and maintenance budget with an emphasis on controlling operational costs.
- Collaborate effectively within a matrix management framework to fulfill strategic goals.
- Undertake additional relevant duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related disciplines.
- Master’s degree is preferred.
- A minimum of four years’ experience in software development and architecture, including at least three years in banking, financial services, or regulated sectors at leadership level.
- Demonstrated expertise in enterprise application deployment, support, and operations.
- Certification in Project Management Professional or equivalent qualifications.
- IT Service Management certification such as ITIL is advantageous.
- Certifications or proven skills in software development with Java, C#, or similar technologies are a plus.
