Overview
Join us as a Maintenance Technician serving Tesco stores in Bournemouth and Poole, ensuring that our environment is safe, operational, and welcoming for both customers and colleagues. This role involves performing both scheduled and reactive maintenance on various systems and equipment to keep store operations running efficiently. Your technical skills will be crucial in promptly diagnosing and fixing issues with a constant focus on safety, compliance, and quality.
Key Responsibilities
- Effectively coordinate repairs and liaise with external contractors to ensure seamless maintenance.
- Collaborate closely with colleagues, promoting teamwork and quality service standards.
- Maintain high energy and adaptability while managing multiple tasks efficiently.
- Support management in maintaining smooth store operations and facility upkeep.
- Reduce customer disruption by scheduling repairs thoughtfully and minimizing inconvenience.
- Ensure Tesco sites comply with safety and operational standards.
- Adhere to planned maintenance schedules aiming for first-time fixes to boost effectiveness.
- Share best practices within the team and contribute knowledge for continuous improvement.
- Perform general day-to-day store and property maintenance tasks.
- Utilize mobile devices such as phones and tablets to manage work schedules and updates efficiently.

Required Qualifications and Skills
- Experience in maintenance, engineering, or construction environments.
- ONC qualification or equivalent technical certification.
- Full driving license.
- Strong health and safety awareness.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Proficiency in Office 365 applications.
- Confidence in using digital tools such as tablets to review work schedules and manage communications.
- Completion of relevant technical training modules to enhance skills.
