Role Overview

The LPG Driver and Filler position involves predominantly working independently once initial training is complete. The role demands a high level of physical activity, as it includes handling and filling LPG cylinders, loading and unloading trucks, and delivering across the Christchurch region. Safety is a top priority, requiring strict adherence to health and safety standards throughout all tasks.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate primarily on a sole charge basis after training.
• Fill large volumes of LPG cylinders and manage their safe handling.
• Load and unload cylinders onto trucks.
• Transport LPG cylinders safely to customers within Christchurch.
• Maintain a safe working environment adhering to company health and safety policies.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Possess at least a Class 2 heavy vehicle license; Dangerous Goods endorsement is beneficial but can be provided through training.
• Proven experience driving trucks, preferably in delivery roles.
• Strong commitment to excellent customer service.
• Good physical fitness to handle heavy LPG cylinders effectively.
• Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate within a team environment.
• Exemplify integrity, adaptability, and a strong work ethic.
• Ability to work flexibly, including outside ordinary business hours and during diverse weather conditions.

Additional Selection Conditions

The recruitment process includes a medical evaluation, drug and alcohol testing, and a criminal background check to ensure suitability for the role.
