Role Summary
The Lounge Operations Manager (LOM) oversees the comprehensive management and daily functioning of multiple lounges, including the entirety of bar operations and personnel oversight. This role encompasses event coordination, financial and inventory management, and ration control, all aligned with mandated performance standards and relevant Air Force and military regulations. Reporting to the Recreational Services Manager, the LOM supervises various staff positions such as Lounge Operations Supervisor, Cashier/Bartender, and MWR Specialists.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and supervise operations across four lounges, assisting other community facilities during special occasions.
- Uphold and enforce company standards, lead by example, and foster a safe, clean, and efficient environment.
- Oversee alcohol supply chains, track inventory and sales reporting, and ensure compliance with safety and quality norms.
- Maintain facility equipment, ensuring work orders are accurately submitted, tracked, and completed.
- Monitor compliance of country national personnel following AFCENTI 32-1002 regulations and secure necessary escort badges.
- Maintain appropriate inventory levels and timely, accurate purchase documentation.
- Coordinate with marketing to develop a 90-day forward-looking lounge activity calendar.
- Respond promptly and professionally to customer feedback.
- Manage setup and teardown of government-provided equipment for events.
- Ensure facilities remain hygienic, orderly, and professionally maintained at all times.
- Implement and maintain a thorough and adaptable training program for personnel.
- Safeguard all government and contractor property under management.
- Adhere strictly to company time reporting protocols and ensure accurate timesheet submission.
- Perform support roles across Installation Service functions as required.
Qualifications
- Minimum high school diploma or equivalent; degrees related to the field are preferred.
- Possess a valid U.S. Passport and Driver’s License.
- Hold or be eligible for a U.S. SECRET or Interim Secret Security Clearance prior to deployment.
- Capability to obtain an Air Force flight line driver’s license and ability to drive manual transmission vehicles; commercial and forklift licenses preferred.
- Fluent proficiency in English (reading, writing, speaking, understanding).
- Must meet all employment and deployment prerequisites including medical, psychological, drug tests, and background checks.
- Successful completion of both online and practical CBRN defense training with appropriate protective gear fitting.
Experience and Skills
- At least five years of relevant operational and supervisory experience.
- Proven management expertise covering employee performance, reporting, and delivering superior customer satisfaction.
- Certifications in Serve-Safe Alcohol and Dram Shop.
- Familiarity with Golden Eagle Standards and Tri-Service Food Code.
- Strong communication, teamwork, decision-making, and customer service abilities.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Willingness to work extended hours when mission demands.
- Preferred military and government contracting experience in contingency environments.
Working Conditions
- Primarily an indoor role with occasional outdoor event support.
- Exposure to environmental elements such as varying temperatures, noise, dust, and chemicals may occur.
- May require overtime and shift work dependent on contract terms.
- Compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations and company policies is mandatory.
- Task-specific work environment training provided as necessary.
- Preparedness to operate in wartime settings supporting U.S. interests; position involves 100% overseas assignment.
