Lecturer/Senior Lecturer - Centre for Teaching & Learning Development

Role Overview

We invite passionate educators dedicated to enhancing teaching and learning excellence to join Nanyang Polytechnic's Centre for Teaching & Learning Development (CTLD). This role involves designing and delivering professional development programs, fostering innovation in curriculum design, pedagogy, and assessment, and collaborating with various Schools, Departments, and external bodies to boost staff capabilities. The incumbent will actively participate in institution-wide and sectoral initiatives, workplace learning projects, and communities that aim to improve academic quality and teaching standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver professional learning programs aimed at academic staff development in teaching and learning.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including other Schools and organizations, to drive innovation and create development opportunities.
• Organize and facilitate seminars, workshops, and communities of practice to enhance teaching and assessment competencies.
• Lead and engage in initiatives and projects at Polytechnic-wide and inter-polytechnic/ITE levels related to curriculum and pedagogy enhancement.
• Support workplace learning and initiatives that promote professional growth and workforce relevance.
• Produce comprehensive reports, proposals, and educational materials supporting institutional and sectoral learning initiatives.
• Work closely with different departments and stakeholder groups to ensure efficient delivery and alignment of teaching and learning projects.

Candidate Profile and Requirements

• Minimum of three years’ teaching experience within a local higher education context.
• Genuine enthusiasm for teaching, learning, staff professional development, and workplace learning.
• Excellent communication, writing, and facilitation capabilities.
• Strong aptitude for collaboration across departments, Schools, and broader educational sectors.
• Self-driven, organized, and innovative individual with excellent stakeholder engagement skills.
• Relevant background or expertise in curriculum design, pedagogy, assessment, competency-based education, educational technology, workplace learning, and/or educational research.
