Role Overview
The Learning Operations Specialist plays a vital role in overseeing the execution of learning and development initiatives. Responsibilities include coordinating programs, creating engaging materials, managing learning systems, and supporting employee growth. The position requires strong organizational and project management skills to handle multiple ongoing projects in a fast-changing, sometimes ambiguous environment. Collaborating with leaders and cross-functional teams, the specialist will transform concepts into effective learning experiences while ensuring organizational excellence and scalability of programs. Facilitation is part of the role but the main focus is on operational management of learning activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, execute, and enhance learning and development programs across the organization.
- Manage multiple concurrent learning projects by developing timelines, communications, and tracking progress from start to finish.
- Arrange logistics for virtual and onsite training sessions including scheduling, attendance monitoring, and follow-ups.
- Support onboarding, leadership development, managerial training, mentorship programs, compliance, and professional growth initiatives.
- Collaborate with business leaders and subject experts to align learning priorities with organizational goals.
- Coordinate with external facilitators, speakers, coaches, and vendors as required.
- Identify and implement process improvements and scalable solutions to enhance learning experiences.
- Create and maintain various engaging learning resources such as presentations, facilitator guides, participant booklets, job aids, and digital content.
- Turn expert knowledge into clear and user-friendly training materials.
- Develop communications promoting programs and learning opportunities to employees.
- Ensure training content is current, organized, branded professionally, and aligned with business objectives.
- Administer the Learning Management System (LMS) including content updates, certifications, and tracking learning paths.
- Maintain accurate training records, completion metrics, and certification data.
- Manage learning calendars, schedules, and related communications.
- Support the enhancement of learning technologies and operational workflows.
- Facilitate New Hire Orientation and support engaging onboarding experiences.
- Partner with HR on employee engagement, development, culture, and performance management communications.
- Contribute to fostering collaboration, continuous learning, and employee growth initiatives.
- Monitor participation and program effectiveness using data analytics and prepare reports to guide improvements.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree preferred in human resources, organizational development, education, business, psychology, communications, or related disciplines.
- 3 to 5 years’ experience in supporting corporate learning, talent development, HR operations, program coordination, or similar fields.
- Proven ability organizing learning programs, including onboarding and leadership development within corporate environments.
- Experience developing presentations, guides, communication, and other learner-facing materials.
- Demonstrated collaboration with business leaders, HR teams, and subject matter experts to coordinate initiatives.

- Strong written communication skills for creating engaging training content and resources.
- Meticulous attention to detail and reliable follow-through on projects.
- Customer service oriented, adept at building relationships across all organizational levels.
- Competence with Learning Management Systems, HRIS platforms, SharePoint, Microsoft Office suite, and project management software.
- Comfortable adopting new technologies and improving processes.
- Data analysis skills to monitor program metrics and produce actionable insights.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively in a remote, cross-functional setting.

Compensation and Benefits
- Competitive salary ranging from $65,000 to $75,000 annually, with potential bonuses.
