Role Overview
Join Toitū as a Lead Auditor, spearheading our Toitū Enviromark® audit program focused on assessing environmental impact. This role offers a dynamic exposure to diverse clients from industries including financial services, manufacturing, agriculture, and food & beverage. You will receive support from an experienced team and have the chance to mentor others while driving meaningful sustainability outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and deliver comprehensive audits aligned with ISO 14001 Environmental Management standards.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships across multiple sectors to support environmental excellence.
- Mentor and guide team members as well as manage audit schedules and priorities effectively.
- Apply critical thinking and professional judgment when conducting audits and reporting findings.
- Travel regularly within Auckland and occasionally across New Zealand to perform audits on site.
Qualifications and Experience
- A minimum of two years’ practical experience working with ISO 14001 Environmental Management Systems.
- Proven track record in conducting ISO 14001 audits across various industries.
- Relevant ISO 14001 qualifications are preferred.
- Strong customer service skills and stakeholder engagement capability balanced with objectivity and professional skepticism.
- Ability to manage competing demands and remain effective in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated fitness and propriety for the role.
- Current full New Zealand driver’s license.

- Experience across multiple industries in environmental auditing and management.
- Coaching or mentoring experience for other auditors.

- Ability to quickly establish credibility and communicate confidently with stakeholders at all levels.

Additional Information
