Junior Technician - Fleet

Role Overview

The Junior Technician in Fleet is responsible for executing both scheduled and unscheduled maintenance tasks on vehicles and ground support equipment, ensuring efficiency and adherence to high-quality standards. This role involves detailed inspections, proper tool handling, and collaboration with supervisors to maintain operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance and repair tasks under supervision with optimal efficiency.
• Carry out thorough inspections and accurately log all required data using checklists.
• Manage tools carefully and maximize the appropriate use of consumable materials.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and professional work environment before, during, and after tasks.
• Provide clear communication to supervisors about completed and pending work before the end of shifts.
• Utilize required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) during maintenance activities to ensure safety.
• Adhere strictly to the Quality Policy and Quality System aligned with ISO 9001:2015 standards and departmental procedures reflecting Emirates Flight Catering's Quality Policy.
• Perform additional duties as assigned within the scope of the role.

Candidate Qualifications

• Possess a High School Certificate or an equivalent qualification.
• Preferably hold an ITI/ITC certification or equivalent trade test certificate relevant to industrial training.
• Have a minimum of 3 years’ experience in similar roles within ground support equipment workshops or organizations, specializing in vehicle and ground support equipment maintenance.
• Demonstrate practical knowledge in mechanical systems, auto electrical work, vehicle instrumentation, automobile air-conditioning, refrigeration, tyre maintenance, welding, and fabrication.
• Be capable of understanding spoken and written English effectively.
• Show strong technical and analytical skills suitable for the role.
• Training in First Aid, Safety, and basic firefighting is favorable but not mandatory.
