Role Overview

As a Junior Software Developer, you will be part of a team creating cutting-edge technologies that impact millions of Australians’ engagement with sports. This role involves working on internal and external projects across full-stack architectures. The position is ideal for recent graduates passionate about software engineering and eager to contribute fresh ideas in a dynamic environment.

Daily Responsibilities

• Design and implement software improvements and extensions to our product suite.
• Engage in diverse projects involving web development, database management, and API integration.
• Collaborate with team members to develop solutions for client needs.
• Tackle technical challenges including debugging, feature development, and architectural improvements.
• Maintain and produce comprehensive technical documentation.
• Participate actively in peer code review sessions.
• Build and sustain productive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Upgrade legacy systems to align with current industry best practices.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.

Preferred Skills and Experience

• Familiarity or coursework experience with PHP/Laravel, JQuery, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
• Understanding of relational databases.
• Experience working with version control tools such as Git.
• Comprehension of web application architectures.
• Exposure to cloud services including Amazon AWS (Elastic Beanstalk, EC2, Cloudfront, S3) is advantageous.
