- Maintain IT hardware and infrastructure in both Cambridge and London locations, including AV systems in meeting rooms, printers, WiFi, and shared devices.
- Develop and update user-friendly instructional content such as quick-start guides, FAQs, and conduct brief training sessions to enhance staff IT proficiency.
- Log, track, and update support cases accurately while escalating complex issues to the System Administrator or external vendors as needed.
- Keep the IT asset inventory current, covering hardware, software licenses, and accessories.
- Assist with fundamental identity and access management activities under supervision, such as account creation, multi-factor authentication resets, and group membership updates.
- Perform routine maintenance checks and housekeeping on core SaaS applications and systems.
- Suggest and implement improvements to IT processes and documentation based on observed needs.
Candidate Profile
- Demonstrates a strong interest in IT and has some hands-on experience through professional work, personal projects, volunteering, or relevant qualifications.
- Possesses good problem-solving skills, showing persistence and creativity when addressing technical challenges.
- Communicates clearly and patiently, able to explain technical topics in accessible terms to non-technical users.
- Organized and methodical, following procedures systematically and maintaining thorough records to ensure no issues are overlooked.
- Exemplifies a customer-focused attitude, aiming to help colleagues and enhance their workday experience.
- Willingness to travel occasionally to the London office as part of job duties.
- Comfortable adapting to a dynamic workplace with shifting priorities.
Preferred Attributes
- Familiarity with macOS environments.
- Experience with popular business SaaS platforms like Microsoft 365, Slack, or JIRA.

- Knowledge of mobile device management (MDM) technologies.
- Experience creating user documentation or delivering training materials.
- Background in supporting audiovisual or conferencing equipment in meeting rooms.
- Possession or pursuit of industry IT certifications such as CompTIA A+, Apple, or Microsoft credentials.
Compensation & Benefits
- Annual salary ranging between £27,000 and £33,000.
- Comprehensive benefits including annual bonus scheme, private medical insurance, life insurance, and a contributory pension plan.
- 25 days of paid annual leave plus government holidays and enhanced maternity leave policies.
- Opportunity to collaborate within a diverse team comprising experts from software development, DevOps, data science, machine learning, quality assurance, regulatory affairs, and clinical operations.
