Job Summary

We are looking for a seasoned Java Azure Developer based in Chennai with over 5 years of professional experience. The role involves crafting scalable Java applications and deploying cloud-native solutions utilizing Microsoft Azure. This position expects candidates to work from the office and engage in virtual interviews.

Key Responsibilities

• Architect, build, and sustain robust Java applications.
• Develop and deploy microservices using Spring Boot and REST APIs.
• Leverage Microsoft Azure services to define cloud-native solutions.
• Manage CI/CD pipelines via Azure DevOps tools.
• Integrate software with databases, middleware, and external services.
• Collaborate across teams to gather requirements and create quality deliverables.
• Maintain application security, optimize performance, and ensure scalability.
• Engage in code reviews, debug issues, and support production environments.

Required Skills

• At least 5 years of Java development experience.
• Expertise in Java versions 8, 11, and 17.
• Proficient in Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Data JPA/Hibernate frameworks.
• Experience with Microservices design and RESTful API implementation.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Azure components including Azure App Service, Functions, Storage, Service Bus, Kubernetes Service (AKS), Key Vault, and monitoring tools.
• Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps and implementing CI/CD pipelines.
• Familiar with databases such as SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL, and Oracle.
• Exposure to containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration with Kubernetes.
• Version control experience using Git and participation in Agile/Scrum workflows.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience using Terraform or Infrastructure as Code practices.
• Knowledge of Event-Driven Architecture and related messaging systems like Kafka or Azure Event Hub.
• Azure certifications (e.g., AZ-204, AZ-305) are advantageous.
