Jacket Structural Engineer

Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Jacket Structural Engineer specialized in offshore jacket structures. The role involves overseeing and approving engineering implementation strategies, managing interfaces, verifying technical data, controlling risks, and reviewing engineering schemes and related documents. Identifying project risks and formulating effective countermeasures is essential.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and calculation of jacket structures, compiling technical reports, proofreading, reviewing, and providing procurement technical support including bid document preparation, bid evaluation, clarifications, drawing review, and Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT).
• Liaise with the client to resolve project-related challenges and issues raised during execution.
• Coordinate with clients, classification societies, and other third-party organizations, as well as participate in the formulation and review of foreign national and local regulations and standards.
• Deliver technical training and guidance to design teams regularly, with a minimum of 10 sessions or 40 training hours annually.
• Offer technical support for site surveys and offshore inspections.
• Provide assistance for fabrication and jacket installation phases.
• Complete additional tasks as assigned by the company.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree or higher.
• At least 8 years of experience in offshore jacket structural engineering, preferably with projects in the Middle East.

Technical and Behavioral Competencies

• In-depth knowledge of jacket structural engineering standards, international codes, specifications, and industry regulations, including but not limited to API, ISO, ASME, SHELL DEP, and regional standards from Saudi Arabia and Qatar.
• Proficient in structural analysis software such as SACS, MOSES, ANSYS, and USFOS.
• Competent with office applications including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Strong work ethic, meticulous attention to detail, with willingness to work overtime as required.
• Quick learner capable of acquiring new skills and knowledge proactively.
• Extensive experience collaborating onsite, flexible to undertake domestic or international travel and offshore assignments.
• Fluent English communication skills in listening, speaking, reading, and writing are mandatory; preference given to native English speakers among foreign personnel.
